Terms of use
Version 2026-11-04
In short: Walk is free and provided as is. A walking pad is moving equipment, and you're responsible for using it safely. Your data is yours; see the privacy notice.
The service
Walk is a free web app, run by Omri Lotan in the United Kingdom, that controls walking pads over Bluetooth and keeps a record of your walks. Its code is open source and in the public domain. These terms cover using the hosted service at walk.omrilotan.com. By using Walk, or by creating an account, you agree to them.
Your safety
- A walking pad is moving equipment. Follow its manufacturer's instructions, and use it at your own risk.
- Keep the pad's own remote or stop button within reach. A browser can lose its Bluetooth connection, so don't rely on Walk alone to stop the belt.
- If you let an AI assistant control the pad, you choose what it may do, and you remain responsible for what happens.
- Walk is not medical advice. Distance, steps and calories are estimates reported by the pad.
Accounts
- Accounts are optional and for people aged 16 and over. One account per person.
- Keep access to your email address: it's how you sign in.
- You can delete your account at any time, in Walk.
Fair use
Don't misuse Walk: no attempts to break or overload it, to access other people's data, or to request sign-in codes for addresses that aren't yours. We may suspend or delete accounts that do.
No warranty
Walk is free and provided as is, without warranties. It may change, have interruptions, or stop. If we plan to stop it, we'll try to give notice. Your walks stay on your device, and you can export them anytime.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.
Trademarks
Walk is not affiliated with or endorsed by PitPat, Superun or DeerRun. Their names belong to their owners.
Changes and law
If these terms change, the version date above changes, and Walk asks for your agreement again the next time you sign in. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
